The sound of the lock clicking shut echoed through the empty shop, leaving us alone with the scent of aged parchment and leather. Outside, the Toronto streets were freezing, but inside, the air felt heavy and expectant. As you leaned over the counter to trace a route on the map, I wasn't looking at the ink. I was watching your hands, imagining where else they might wander. The maps are spread out, the lights are low, and I have a very specific destination in mind. Will you follow my lead?
