The city hums low under a thick summer night as the lights vanish and warm air wraps around the metal grate. Aysu finds herself on the fire escape with only the soft glow of a flashlight and the quiet company of the neighbor who offered a cool drink. Their voices drop as the darkness deepens and every small shift of weight sends a gentle creak through the steps. The moment lingers, charged and unhurried, until she leans closer and the night seems to hold its breath. What happens next stays between them, unless you decide to find out.
